ALSO VERY CONVENIENT

“ALSO VERY CONVENIENT”

My family and I stayed at the Villa Fairview over the Easter week. We had an outstanding vacation experience at the Villa. We have stayed in many properties around the world (Hawaii, Cayman Islands, Austria, Paris, etc.) and the Villa is among the very best. The owners Hans and Yvonne were very nice and quick to respond to any questions or requests that we had about the villa. The house managers of the villa, Cedric and Luz, greeted us when we arrived and were very gracious hosts. They gave us a tour and showed us where everything was, and made us feel comfortable. Whenever we asked for something, for example to use the grill, Cedric always showed up within 15 minutes to provide us with what we needed. This is better service than a lot of hotels. It was also very nice to have a person that you knew on the island in case you would need assistance for any reason.

The property is beautiful. I am always very concerned about the accommodations that I choose for our vacations in terms of cleanliness, amenities, convenience. My perspective is that a vacation should be enjoyed and free from worries. The Villa Fairview provides this. First, it was immaculately clean. The décor is perfect for the setting. Hans and Yvonne have decorated the Villa in what I would call a modern tropical motif, with artwork and very stylish furniture. They have also kept the character of the house, as I believe it has some history to it on the island. You will NOT find the white lawn furniture here that I have seen at many Caribbean properties that are in the same price category as the Villa. Everything in the villa is tasteful and new. The kitchen has all the modern amenities that are needed. I enjoyed the walk in shower, and the bedrooms have very comfortable large beds. My parents stayed in the lower apartment so they could have their own bathroom, and it was equally as nice as the top floor. It was also very nice that they had their own entrance and privacy in the lower unit.

The grounds are stunning. The Villa is at the end of a drive on the top of a hill that overlooks the town of Windwardside to the right, and then the ocean and mountains of Saba are directly in front. It is a very private villa since you can only get to it from one road. I did not want to leave the pool area. It was relaxing to view the ocean and Mount Scenery. It has a stone backing with a very nice built in stone table where you can dine outside. At night, they have placed lights everywhere. It is very beautiful and peaceful. There is a gazebo right next to the pool with comfortable lounge chairs, and also on the stone deck of the pool, there is a table with umbrella next to more lounge chairs. Everything you need for the pool is available. They even have a little table that comes out from the base of the pool if you want to enjoy a drink or set something on a table while in the pool. There is also a hot-tub next to the pool. The view is spectacular. The photos that Hans and Yvonne have on the website are completely accurate. It is that beautiful.

The Villa is also very convenient, as we did not need a car, and just needed to walk down the hill to Windwardside. It is a ten minute walk. If you have a lot of groceries, you can either get your daily exercise or there are taxis all over town to take you back up the hill. For such a small island, there are a lot of restaurants to choose from in town. You can also order fresh lobster from the Bottom from the fishermans catch that day. We highly suggest going to the Ecolodge. At night, you need to take a taxi to it, or if you go during the day, you could hike. It is one of the nicest experiences that I have had at a restaurant. The food was excellent. You can tell the taxi driver when you will be ready to go,
