“THE VIEWS OF THE CARIBBEAN FROM THE HOUSE WERE BREATHTAKING”
Villa Fairview was more beautiful than any picture or website could reveal. Saba truly is the “unspoiled queen” of the Caribbean and we thoroughly enjoyed every minute of our stay. The location of Villa Fairview was perfect. With a simple 5 minute walk down the hill, we reached the Windwardside of the island where all the main restaurants, grocery stores, and shops were located. Not only was the house centrally located, but it’s nestled back along a ridge and away from the road. We had complete privacy for a week, and the views of the Caribbean from the house were breathtaking. As much as we enjoyed exploring the island, part of us never wanted to leave the house! Villa Fairview was stocked with all the necessities to make us feel at home, such as “his” and “hers” robes, floats for the pool, and an ice bucket to keep our wine chilled while we laid poolside.
Before our travels, Hans provided us with all the necessary information we needed for our stay. On the day of our travel, our airline canceled our connecting flight which delayed our arrival to Saba by an entire day. Hans was gracious enough to guide us on where to stay at St. Maarten as well as giving us restaurant recommendations. Cedric and Luz were there to greet us when we finally arrived Saba, and Hans was kind enough to have a bottle of white wine chilled in the refrigerator waiting for us.
My husband and I agreed that we will visit Saba again, and without a question, Villa Fairview was half of what made our visit unforgettable. The other half was attributed to the kind and friendly Sabanians and the lush, unspoiled beauty of the island. Thank you, Hans and Yvonne, for making our first week as newlyweds more magical and memorable than we could have ever dreamt it to be. We plan on visiting again very soon!
